While processed foods are easy and convenient, they come with the harmful effects on your health. In fact, following a lifestyle based on real food, could be one of the most important things you can do to maintain good health along with a high quality of life along in reaping the benefits.

The way to real eating is not necessarily linked to specific guidelines, but there are some tips to help you reduce your exposure to chemicals, hormones, highly processed ingredients.

Aim in Keeping whole is key, experiment with your own way of making food at home, be creative and find what works for you, understanding the difference with refined carbohydrates and limiting them, be consistent and find a balance to your daily plate.

One of many benefits of enjoying more whole foods especially Vegetables and Fruits, legumes, nuts and seeds, we boost the antioxidant levels within our bodies.  Most Plant foods are high in antioxidant compounds like vitamin C, selenium, and vitamin E. These compounds assist in reducing oxidative stress in the body, which decreases disease risks and supports healthful aging.

By following the real food approach we practice quality over quantity, therefore it is the level of nutrients we want from that particular fresh food item than the actual quantity. Real foods, are not only natural and loaded with water and fibre, it also allows your body to find its natural rhythm, therefore you are less prone to sugar spikes, you will have more consistency with the energy levels, of course the real foods, fill you up and fuel you, in comparison to those ready-to-go empty calories – especially like those found in mostly microwave meals, these often only give you a quick boost of energy but often it only leads to a crash and hunger shortly after.

Find your unique clean grocery list, therefore give yourself a project to find out what your favourite, real clean foods are.  We are all unique, therefore choosing our own unique forms of clean real foods will differ from others, at the end of the day we are all getting that quality nutrients from the Real food.

Always aim to enjoy the colours of the rainbow, therefore this ensures you get all the good values each fruit and vegetable has to offer.  Aim to add at least one meal of greens to your day If this is something new you are exploring.

The key is finding what works for you.

 

I often get times where I know I will not be able to get the full amount of nutrients from my food sources, hence why I aim in working towards adding some good quality Greens to my lifestyle, I find by adding the full spectrum to my day is the way I enjoy to start my day.

 

Good Greens, have been scientifically formulated for the average person as a one stop multivitamin, therefore I can trust that the level of minerals and vitamins are achieved within my body, the last thing I want is to take individual vitamins and minerals in tablet forms, I prefer REAL FOOD, therefore thanks to Nuzest Good Greens, I can do just that, all I do each morning is add one serving to my coconut water shake it up and enjoy, it mixes so easy you don’t even need a blender, a delicious drink that is actually a multivitamin, even better on occasions I would blend one serving with coconut water and coconut flesh with some ice, until smooth, it is super delicious.

WHITES & TANS

Eating your WHITE'S/TAN, why?

White/tan vegetables from the onion family contain the phytochemical allicin that has natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and increases the body’s ability to fight infections. Furthermore, they may also help lower cholesterol and blood pressure. They include garlic, scallions, chives, leeks and any variety of onion. 

Some examples of veggies:  Cauliflower, mushrooms, turnips, white corn.
