This delicious creamy dragon fruit smoothie comes packed with added protein, antioxidants and of course some good healthy fats and added fiber.

Adding walnuts to the mix, not only gives us that much needed essential fats, but it is high in antioxidants. Walnuts are known to be one of the highest nut sources when it comes to the antioxidant availability.

The high antioxidants in walnuts come from Vitamin E, melatonin, along with plant compounds known as polyphenols.

Walnuts are super high in your omega 3 fats, even more reason to add to your lifestyle.

Another interesting benefit is that, walnuts have several plant compounds and the nutrients like magnesium, certain amino acids, along with Omega 3’s that may help decrease inflammation, which is a key culprit in many chronic diseases.
